4. Why We Use Your Data and Our Lawful Bases

We use personal data for the purposes below, relying on the following lawful bases:

A. To respond to questions and handle requests

Purpose: responding to enquiries submitted via forms or other channels
Lawful basis: legitimate interests (customer support and communications) and/or steps prior to entering a contract where relevant

B. To provide services and manage customer relationships

Purpose: administering remote care sign-ups, delivering products/services, managing your account, verifying identity
Lawful basis: performance of a contract / steps prior to entering a contract

Purpose: compliance with legal requirements (e.g., accounting, regulatory obligations)

D. To improve, evaluate, and develop our services

Purpose: making services more user-friendly; improving products and systems
Lawful basis: legitimate interests (service improvement and quality)

E. To prevent misuse, fraud, and protect our IT environment

Purpose: preventing and investigating fraud or misuse; protecting IT systems
Lawful basis: legitimate interests (security and fraud prevention)

F. Marketing communications

Purpose: sending offers and information about our services to people who have asked to hear from us or who are existing customers
Lawful basis: consent, or legitimate interests where we contact an existing customer about services similar to those they have already received. You can opt out at any time.

G. Advertising and measurement

Purpose: measuring how our advertising performs and showing our ads to people who have visited our website, using Google Ads and the Meta Pixel
Lawful basis: consent, given through the cookie banner and withdrawable at any time via the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page

Special category data (health data): If you use remote care and provide health information, we will process it only where lawful. This may include explicit consent and/or another permitted condition under the GDPR depending on the service context. We will provide additional information at the point of collection where required.

We do not store payment card numbers or bank details. Payments are handled by third-party payment providers approved by banks/card issuers. We will never ask you to provide your card number, Swish number, or password by email, phone, or letter.

5. Who We Share Personal Data With

Your name, email address and telephone number are accessible only to authorised staff who need it for their work.

Where necessary, we share personal data with trusted processors (service providers) such as:

IT and hosting providers, including Cloudflare, Inc., which hosts this website
The system we use to receive and manage enquiries submitted through our website
Customer support tools
Marketing and email distribution providers
Payment and fraud-prevention providers
Analytics, advertising and embedded services providers, namely Google LLC (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Google Maps) and Meta Platforms Inc. (Meta Pixel)
Professional advisers (e.g., accountants) where required

If you have accepted marketing cookies and you contact us after clicking one of our ads, Google Ads may also receive a hashed version of the contact details you entered so that the enquiry can be matched to that ad click. The original details cannot be recovered from the hashed value.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. International Transfers

We are based in Sweden and some of our service providers are located outside the EU/EEA, for example in the United States. Where personal data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.

7. How Long We Keep Your Data

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above or as required by law.

In general, personal data is deleted no later than 36 months after the matter is concluded.
Data used for development, analysis and marketing is typically kept for 12 months after your last contact, unless you withdraw consent earlier or we have a lawful reason to keep it longer.

9. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our websites. Some are strictly necessary for the site to work (“essential cookies”). Others (such as analytics or marketing cookies) are used only if you consent.

We also store a language preference in your browser’s local storage when you manually switch between English and Swedish. This preference is kept locally on your device and is not sent to our servers. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.

Non-essential cookies require your consent. You give it through the cookie banner, and you can change or withdraw it at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page.
